Gainesville, FL

MARC RADIO GROUP Rhythmic WTMG (MAGIC 101.3)/GAINESVILLE, FL, has resumed broadcasting at a temporary dial position of 94.1 after its tower was damaged by Hurricane HELENE. The station is now airing on FM translator W231DH (94.1), which was previously R&B 94.1 on the dial. Meanwhile R&B “R&B 94.1” is streaming until everything returns to normal.

Technical Operations Mgr. MARTY HALL told MAIN ST. DAILY NEWS, “MAGIC will remain on 94.1 for the time being while we work on repairs to our tower and transmitter. We would like to thank the people of GAINESVILLE for supporting us through this trying time. HELENE has been horrible to a lot of people. We are not immune. Thank you for staying with us.”

“The process of repairing the tower is underway but is expected to take time. “It’s going to be a long time. There’s a lot to do, a lot of procedures we have to follow. While it may take some time, we will rebuild. We will be back.”

PD VINNY FOO commented, “Following the tower’s collapse on THURSDAY (9/26), the team quickly pushed new streaming options to maintain their audience in GAINESVILLE and OCALA. The current focus is on informing listeners about the temporary move to 94.1.”
