Urban One Raises $1.6 Million For St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
URBAN ONE’s RADIO ONE and REACH MEDIA divisions raised $1.6 million during the annual URBAN CARES FOR ST. JUDE KIDS RADIOTHON held MARCH 6th-7th. Special guests included LISA KNOWLES SMITH, VASHAWN MITCHELL, MAJOR, PASTOR MIKE JR., and ZACARDI CORTEZ.
Listeners across RADIO ONE’s 13 markets and REACH MEDIA’s nationally syndicated networks were encouraged to become Partners in Hope by pledging monthly donations. GET UP! MORNINGS WITH ERICA CAMPBELL launched the live broadcast, followed by THE WILLIE MOORE JR. SHOW, NIGHTLY SPIRIT WITH DARLENE MCCOY, and THE RICKEY SMILEY MORNING SHOW.
ALSAC Interim CEO IKE ANAND said, “For almost two decades, our partners and friends at URBAN ONE have brought people together to advance a common goal: helping kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
