Steve Hegwood To Be Inducted Into Georgia Radio Hall Of Fame
CORE RADIO GROUP Pres./CEO STEVE HEGWOOD will be inducted into the GEORGIA RADIO HALL OF FAME as part of the 2025 class, to be recognized during the FRIENDS OF GEORGIA RADIO’s annual ceremony. The event will take place on SATURDAY, AUGUST 23rd at the SANDY SPRINGS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.
HEGWOOD is the owner of ATLANTA’s Urban WWSZ-AM (W233BF) (STREETZ 94.5) and Adult R&B WTBS-LD (87.7 THE VIBE). Among his many awards and accomplishments, he received the LIVING LEGENDS FOUNDATION’s JERRY BOULDING RADIO EXECUTIVE AWARD in 2019.
This year’s list of 2025 inductees also include DICKEY BROADCASTING Pres./CEO DAVID DICKEY; WGAC/AUGUSTA host AUSTIN RHODES; longtime GEORGIA BULLDOGS announcer SCOTT HOWARD; former THE FISH morning team KEVIN & TAYLOR; engineer MIKE LAWING; broadcaster SCOTT MACLEOD of MILLEDGEVILLE’s WMVG/WKZR; and CUMULUS Q99.7/ATLANTA syndicated host BERT WEISS.
