Steve Harvey

A biopic movie about STEVE HARVEY’s life is being made, focusing on a critical 72-hour period before his big break at the APOLLO THEATRE in 1993. The film, titled SEVENTY-TWO, will highlight HARVEY’s struggles during his early comedy career, including a time when he was homeless after leaving a stable job to pursue his dreams.

HARVEY is one of the Original Kings Of Comedy and his career credits include actor, stand-up performer, author, seven Daytime EMMY Awards winner, a BET humanitarian award, and fourteen NAACP Image Awards. He’s the host of TV’s long time syndicated THE FAMILY FEUD, and PREMIERE NETWORKS syndicated radio host of THE STEVE HARVEY MORNING SHOW.

OBJECTIVELY GOOD MEDIA Producers MOHAMED KHEIR and MATTHEW R. COOPER pitched the idea to HARVEY, who has been hesitant to make a movie about his life until now.

KHEIR said, “Securing the rights to tell this story has been an incredible honor. STEVE HARVEY’s ability to turn his trials into triumphs is inspiring, and SEVENTY-TWO will showcase the resilience and determination that defined those pivotal days.”

HARVEY said in a statement, “I’ve been reluctant to make a movie about my life for years until I read the pitch for SEVENTY-TWO. It focuses on one of the most difficult moments in my journey and career and shows the world that hope is never truly lost. Wait until you see what we do with this.”
