Ramona Halloway Exits Radio One/Charlotte Community Affairs
Manager Position
RAMONA HALLOWAY has exited her role as RADIO ONE/CHARLOTTE Community Affairs Manager. She had been making biweekly appearances on “MIX MORNINGS WITH MATT HARRIS AND LIZ LUDA” and hosting two weekly podcasts with HARRIS, reported THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER.
According to HALLOWAY her departure was due to budget cuts and her job position was eliminated.
“On one hand, the work that I signed up to do is at the core of everything that I believe, which is helping people who need help, connecting them with the help that they need, and using storytelling to help people see their problems through somebody else’s eyes. Literally a few weeks later, it’s like, ‘You know what? Budget cuts.’ I was like, ‘Well, wait a minute. I more than made my salary. … And the budget cut is me? That’s weird. That’s really, really weird. But it’s not my company.”
