Pharrell Williams ‘Black Ambition’ Introduces $1 Million Florida Entrepreneur Initiative
BLACK AMBITION, the nonprofit founded by PHARRELL WILLIAMS, has announced the launch of the FUNDABLE FOUNDERS LEARNING LAB, a 10-week virtual program focused on supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs across FLORIDA.
The initiative, backed by a $1 million donation from an anonymous donor, will provide 500 participants with access to capital, expert training, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
BLACK AMBITION CEO FELECIA HATCHER said, “Entrepreneurs are facing unprecedented challenges—from shrinking access to capital to dwindling community resources. This $1 million donation is more than just funding—it’s fuel for a new generation of fundable founders building bold, innovative solutions right here in FLORIDA.”
BLACK AMBITION Founder PHARRELL added, “Five years ago, BLACK AMBITION was an idea. TODAY, it’s a force. A catalyst for change. A platform where underrepresented entrepreneurs don’t just get a seat at the table, they build new tables, positioning themselves for uninterrupted success.”
“When we invest in diverse talent, we unlock limitless potential. But this is just the beginning. Let’s keep building, keep breaking barriers, and keep rewriting the rules. I can’t wait to see what we do in the next five years.”
The program is part of a broader two-year campaign aimed at addressing equity gaps in business development. FLORIDA is home to more than 1.38 million minority-owned businesses. To date, 15 entrepreneurs have received funding from BLACK AMBITION, and the new initiative aims to expand that reach.
BLACK AMBITION has partnered with CODNER & CO (e-commerce) and ACT HOUSE (Certified B-Corp) to support the LAB. A “SO AMBITIOUS DINNER” will be held in MIAMI as an invite-only event. The purpose will be to connect top participants with investors, retailers, and strategic partners. Applications for the FUNDABLE FOUNDERS LEARNING LAB close on APRIL 30th.
