iHeartMedia Exits In Orlando & Detroit
DWIGHT “D-STRONG” RICKETTS has exited iHEARTMEDIA. He was PD for Hip-Hop N’ R&B WTKS-HD2 (104.5 THE BEAT) where he also handled PM drive. Until recently, RICKETTS had done double duty as PD for Classic Throwback WBTP/TAMPA prior to the JULY format switch to RUMBA 95.7 with music tailored to the Latino community. His resume includes in-arena DJ for the NBAs ORLANDO MAGIC.
And in DETROIT, “Dr. DARRIUS” SUMMERS exited afternoons from iHEARTs Hip-Hop N’ R&B WJLB (97.9). SUMMERS returned to WJLB in 2016 after a previous fourteen year run in nights from 1998 to 2012. Before returning to JLB, he had been across town where he hosted nights and later afternoons at INTERNATIONAL FREE AND ACCEPTED MODERN MASONS Urban WGPR (107.5 FM).
