Hurricane ‘Beryl’ Disrupts Mediabase Operations
The impact of Hurricane BERYL in TEXAS and nearby areas caused two MEDIABASE problems on TUESDAY (6/9). There were server outages for many website-based radio companies in areas affected by the tropical storm, and MEDIABASE subscribers around the country could not access the website for several hours because the company’s servers are near the affected areas of TEXAS.
MEDIABASE issued a statement and said they used the standard policy for the affected stations. The policy uses seven of the most recent 14 full days (min. 21 hours) for impacted stations. The company conducted a system update yesterday (7/10), after all affected stations issues were addressed. If there are any further changes to the panel regarding these recent problems, updates will be posted on the MEDIABASE website.
Regarding the Addboard outage on TUESDAY, all reporting stations that reached out to MEDIABASE had their issues resolved. If MEDIABASE did not receive communication from any station officials, auto-adds took place. Any titles that were auto-added to the Addboard system cannot be removed once the format window for adds closes.
MEDIABASE indicated if any station believed that any title(s) that were missed, you can make them an official add during the next reporting window. The Addboard for this coming week reopened YESTERDAY (7/10) and will close at the regular upcoming format deadlines for MONDAY JULY 15th/TUESDAY JULY 16th.
