Cumulus VP/Urban Formats Kenny Smoov Steps Down From WQQK (92Q)/Nashville Morning Show
SAM WEAVER MEDIA (SWM) has learned that CUMULUS MEDIA VP/Urban Formats/WQQK (92Q)/NASHVILLE PD KENNY SMOOV, has stepped down from THE KENNY SMOOV MORNING SHOW.
The move allows him to focus on his responsibilities as VP/Urban Formats, overseeing 37 Urban and Urban AC stations across the company. He’ll also continue in his role as WQQK PD.
His broadcasting career includes being named BILLBOARD Radio Personality of the Year (Small Market) and receiving an NAACP Image Award.
He is a DESERT STORM veteran with six years of military service, including tours in SOUTH KOREA, FORT HOOD, TEXAS, and other assignments. His decorations include the ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL with two clusters, the ARMY ACHIEVEMENT MEDAL with two clusters, and additional honors.
