Helping The Community

CARTER MEDIA Gospel KPRT (1590 AM/106.1 FM)/KANSAS CITY and HIGH ASPIRATIONS will host the 3rd Annual DEBBIE DEE BACKPACK DRIVE. It will take place on FRIDAY JULY 26th from 6a-6p (CT) at HIGH ASPIRATIONS, 803 E. 27th Street in KANSAS CITY.

The community is asked to come and donate new backpacks at HIGH ASPIRATIONS. KPRT’s air personalities and talents from sister stations KPRS (HOT 103 JAMZ) and RNB 106.9 FM/103.3 HD2 will be on hand to help. HIGH ASPIRATIONS is dedicated to mentoring young African American males, ages 8 to 18.

KPRT AM drive’s DEBBIE DEE said, “This BACKPACK DRIVE is very important to me, because I want our young men to have the necessary items to start the school year successfully. With the rising prices of school supplies, I want to help parents eliminate at least one back to school expense.”

ASPIRATIONS Founder/Pres./CEO HENRY W. WASH added, “Our mission is to seek ways to place young men on the path toward becoming successful members of society. We are elated to collaborate with our community partners. We believe every student should have a backpack.

OM MYRON FEARS said, “CARTER MEDIA is excited about our partnership with HIGH ASPIRATIONS. The BACKPACK DRIVE fits the core values and mission of our organization. It’s our responsibility to serve our community thru outreach and to support local causes.”
