Audacy/St. Louis Makes Frequency Changes For KMOX-AM & WHHL
AUDACY is expanding the reach of NEWS RADIO 1120-AM KMOX/ST. LOUIS, launching a full-signal FM simulcast on 104.1 FM beginning MARCH 24th. The station is the flagship home of ST. LOUIS CARDINALS BASEBALL team. This move means that KMOX-AM will now be heard on an FM signal covering the entire greater ST. LOUIS region.
In a related move, URBAN WHHL (HOT 104.1)/ST. LOUIS will relocate to 98.7 FM and rebrand as HOT 98.7, displacing HOT AC KYKY (Y98) from the frequency. The switch places WHHL on the frequency previously occupied by KMOX-AM. Last FRIDAY (3/7), the entire WHHL air staff was laid off ahead of the frequency transition.
AUDACY/ST. LOUIS & WICHITA SVP/Market Mgr. BECKY DOMYAN said, “We’re thrilled to expand KMOX’s reach and bring the trusted news and entertainment our listeners rely on, as well as CARDINALS Baseball, on an enhanced FM signal that covers the greater ST. LOUIS region. We’re equally as excited to continue delivering the hottest Hip-Hop and R&B on HOT 98.7s new dial position.”
