NAACP $3.75M Campaign To Boost Black Voter Turnout
In Key States
The NAACP launched a $3.75 million radio ad campaign to energize Black voters ahead of upcoming elections in key battleground states. This includes ARIZONA, GEORGIA, MICHIGAN, NEVADA, PENNSYLVANIA, and WISCONSIN. In addition, this campaign is targeting key congressional districts in NEW YORK, CALIFORNIA, and recently kicked off in NORTH CAROLINA.
The NAACP is also targeting Black voters aged 18 to 35 through streaming audio, SMS text messaging, and direct mail. The campaign is part of a broader $20 million plan to motivate voters of color.
NAACP Pres./CEO DERRICK JOHNSON said, “Every vote cast is a voice heard. We’ve proven how powerful our collective vote is in moving the needle and safeguarding our democracy.”
“Radical extremists are working diligently to interfere with our free and fair election process. These agents work in statehouses, counties, and communities across the country and want to stop people from voting, especially communities of color.”
“While the threats against our democracy are present and dangerous, our commitment to making our voices heard is unwavering. Our most important Black job this NOVEMBER — for all of us — is showing up to the ballot box and making our voices heard. The only way to combat these radical extremists is with your vote.”
