MNRK Group Closes Nashville Gospel Division
MNRK MUSIC GROUP (formerly ENTERTAINMENT ONE)/NASHVILLE has shut down its GOSPEL/INSPIRATIONAL division, including subsidiaries LIGHT RECORDS and INDIEBLU MUSIC.
SR. VP/GM GINA MILLER said, “I want you all to know that during my 20+ years of calling this record label home (in all of its iterations), I have nothing but deep gratitude for us having the opportunity to shepherd, steward, and be a part of the lives of artists and their music that has encouraged the masses and made chart history. Shout out to PASTOR SMOKIE NORFUL for having the #1 song at Gospel Radio last week and achieving international reach long before I arrived.”
“I owe everything to my team, who is like family to me, as they have been the arms and feet, sacrificing much to see my vision come to fruition and ensuring we reached our goals. They are the smartest and most brilliant people I know. For years I have joked with them that ‘we should just live together.’ If we did, perhaps this moment might be easier. PAUL, DARNELL, and NAKIYAH, thank you. I love you.”
“On the eve of Gospel Music’s biggest night, the STELLAR AWARDS (7/20), I celebrate all the STELLAR-nominated artists. My heart is with MAURETTE BROWN CLARK, JAMES FORTUNE, TODD DULANEY, RUDY CURRENCE, JJ HAIRSTON, JONATHAN MCREYNOLDS, JOVONTA PATTON, and DEXTER WALKER.”
“To every artist or label who has come through our doors and had a seat at our table, I am sincerely thankful for your trust and partnership over the years. Your gifts, passion, and dedication have made this journey unforgettable.”
“Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your legacy through the music you released through LIGHT RECORDS, MNRK, or INDIE BLU MUSIC. We are proud of you and the work we did together. Thank you for being a part of our story and the verses to our song. The music will live on.”
“It has been said that responsibility is one of the greatest gifts. I will forever be grateful for this gift. It has been one of my greatest honors to lead and even more to serve.”
